The Dual Language Action Committee (DLAC) is a group of dedicated parents, teachers, and community members who work together to strengthen the Spanish-English Dual Language program at Jessie Beck Elementary and within Jessie Beck. Anyone interested in advocating for the support and growth of dual language education is welcome to attend DLAC meetings! Fill out our membership survey here: DLAC MEMBERSHIP SURVEY. Zoom links will be shared with everyone who has filled out the membership survey. Attend in person at Strong Start Childcare Services Center, 961 Matley Ln. suite 110. Meetings are held from 6:30-7:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
Spanish Language Summer Camp:
The camp will be held the week of July 17-21, 2023. Beginner classes and advanced/immersion classes are available. Enrollment is now open!

- Communicate and educate all stakeholders of the benefits of Dual Language Education (DLE)
- Educate policymakers
- Bridge the gap between monolingual and bilingual classrooms
- Educate parents within the program
- Continuously update resources for families
- Celebrate and encourage diversity
- Streamline procedures for entering the DL program
- Create handouts to inform incoming families regarding the program
