Art To Grow
The goal of Jessie Beck’s Art to Grow Program is to provide a positive learning experience for students of all skill levels to participate in the world of art. Fostering a student’s knowledge of artist and their works, principle elements of art, conceptual development and hands-on skills cultivate patience, personal confidence, empathy, social awareness and communication. Developing such skills contribute to enhanced attention, dedication an improved performance.
The program is designed to assist both the volunteer art instructor and teacher with a variety of curriculum and materials for ideas, training and lesson plans. Training throughout the year is designed to teach and inspire both the new and experienced art volunteer and assist with the tools needed for classroom instruction and application.
Our program's success is made possible by the sixty-plus volunteers whose encouragement and support continue to grow through communication, team teaching, shadowing and cross-grade training. Volunteers are always welcome to get involved.
Materials and resources are obtained through funding from our Parent Faculty Association (PFA), monetary contributions and recycled donations.
