Fund the Arts is Jessie Beck Elementary School’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Along with our Art to Grow program students create collaborative art pieces that are then auctioned off to the highest bidder at our adults only special event. This year our Once Upon a Gala was held at the Peppermill Resort Casino in the Capri Ballroom guests enjoyed Cocktails & Silent Auction, Italian Buffet Dinner & Live Auction.
The goal of the Art to Grow program is to provide a positive learning experience for students of all skill levels to participate in the world of art. Fostering a student’s knowledge of artists and their works, principle elements of art, conceptual development and hands-on skills cultivate patience, personal confidence, social awareness and communication. Developing such skills contribute to enhanced attention, dedication and improved performance. Our program’s success is made possible by the sixty-plus volunteers whose encouragement and support through communication, team teaching, shadowing and cross-grade training.
All PFA activities and money raised directly benefit our school. The PFA bridges the financial gap between what the school needs, and what it receives in funding from the state and grants.
