Who we are:
The Dual Language Advisory Council (DLAC) is a group of dedicated parents, teachers, and community members who work together to strengthen the Spanish-English Dual Language program at Jessie Beck Elementary and within Jessie Beck. We welcome all interested members and meet at least four times throughout the school year.
Our Mission:
Support and advocate for the development of biliterate, bilingual, and culturally responsive school programs by promoting high levels of achievement and diversity within the dual language program and our community.

- Communicate and educate all stakeholders of the benefits of Dual Language Education (DLE)
- Educate policymakers
- Bridge the gap between monolingual and bilingual classrooms
- Educate parents within the program
- Continuously update resources for families
- Celebrate and encourage diversity
- Streamline procedures for entering the DL program
- Create handouts to inform incoming families regarding the program
